From the Pen of the Bishop – Thanksgiving Message

A Thanksgiving Salutation!
Thanksgiving is a season of giving thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the many blessings bestowed upon us. Thanksgiving, currently celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November by federal legislation in 1941, has been an annual tradition in the United States by Presidential proclamation since 1863 and by state legislation since the Founding Fathers of the United States.
Saints, as we embark upon this special Holiday Season, may we always be mindful that this is a special time of giving thanks to God for His love and unmerited favor. We ask the Lord’s continued blessings and protection upon us, our families, and our nation. It’s a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto our God, Oh Most High! This is a season to be thankful and to be a blessings to others, especially those who are less fortunate. Let us purpose to exemplify the “Agape” love of God!
Finally, it is my sincere prayer that you will have a very safe and prosperous Thanksgiving celebration. Be safe in your Holiday travels and enjoy this special time of celebration with family and friends. (Psalms 91)
May God abundantly bless you!
Sincerely,
Bishop & Pastor
