Encouragement on your Journey of Fasting

From The Pen of the Bishop!Bishop Daniel B. Salley Jr.

Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Pastor Salley and I personally esteem you for joining us in this sacred time of corporate prayer and fasting. Together, prayer and fasting empower possibilities!  Mark 9-28-29 reads “And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”  And He said unto them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”
Brethren, on numerous accounts documented throughout the Holy Scriptures, you’ll find the very essence and effectiveness of prayer and fasting when believers of the Christian faith put them into action. Being duly informed of the significance of these weapons of spiritual warfare, it’s our endeavor to purposely petition God, in accordance with our daily prayer calendar, with an expectation and anticipation of experiencing divine impartations directly from the portals of heaven.
Lastly, we encourage you to expect a great movement of God especially while we corporately embark upon a journey of experiencing the supernatural. Therefore, as Apostle Paul instructs Timothy, we also instruct you “that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.”  (1 Timothy 2:1-3 KJV).   Moreover, stand liberated in the power wherein Christ has made us free and exercise your “will of choice” to stand with us in prayer and fasting for this also is good and acceptable in the sight of God.
May God bless us all on our journey of supernatural empowerment!
In Kingdom Service,
Bishop Daniel B. Salley, Jr.
