FROM THE OFFICE OF THE BISHOP & PASTOR
As we embark upon our Annual 40 Day Health & Wellness Fast on Monday, February 27th, we want to particularly encourage each of you to prepare your body, mind, and spirit to embrace this sacred time of corporate prayer and fasting. It’s always an honorable opportunity and pleasure to corporately seek and pursue God’s direction, especially to fulfill His divine purpose in every facet of our lives and church ministry. Therefore, Pastor and I commend each of you for joining in this sacred consecration which is purposed for perfecting us for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:12-16 KJV). This Holy Consecration will lead up to the commemoration of Holy Week, and culminate in the observance of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Easter Sunday.
Finally, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (II Corinthians 15:58 KJV) Furthermore, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (I Corinthians 1:10 KJV). Brethren, let’s personally exemplify the due diligence and disciplines necessary to succeed in this corporate church initiative. We look forward with absolute enthusiasm and anticipation in experiencing a great movement of God, as we corporately seek and pursue His divine will through prayer and fasting! God bless!
In His Grace and Kingdom Service,
Bishop and Pastor Salley
