Pastor Barbara A. Salley serves as the Executive Pastor of Redeeming Life Ministries International (RLMI), where she faithfully leads with wisdom, strength, and a heart for people. Her life is a testimony of unwavering faith, servant leadership, and a deep commitment to helping others grow in their relationship with God.

Born in Washington, DC and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Pastor Barbara accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as a teenager in 1971. From an early age, she demonstrated a passion for serving, actively participating in church life through choir ministry, outreach to the sick and shut-in, and consistent involvement in Bible study and weekly worship.

Her dedication to both spiritual growth and education has remained a constant throughout her life. She is a graduate of Draughon Business College and Jericho Christian Training College and School of Ministry, where she graduated with honors. She has also pursued advanced biblical studies through Christian Bible College and Seminary and continues her training in Christian counseling.

As the wife of Bishop Daniel B. Salley Jr., Pastor Barbara has faithfully stood alongside him in ministry and life. During their time traveling abroad throughout his military career, she served in various ministry roles including usher, choir member, teacher, elder, marriage and family counselor, assistant pastor, and ministry leader. Her versatility and willingness to serve wherever needed have been a defining mark of her ministry.

She was officially ordained on October 8, 2000, and currently serves as Executive Pastor, Operations Manager, and Women’s Ministry Department Head at RLMI. In each of these roles, she exemplifies excellence, integrity, and a deep understanding of God’s Word.

Pastor Barbara is often called upon to minister at churches, seminars, and conferences, where she shares messages that inspire faith, resilience, and obedience to God’s Word. Her life and leadership are grounded in a simple yet powerful motto: “Just Do the Word.”

In addition to her ministry work, she is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Bishop Salley are blessed with three children, a daughter-in-law, and grandchildren who all actively serve in ministry. Her commitment to family and faith continues to leave a lasting impact on everyone she leads and serves.
